Stacey is a fully certified Stott Pilates instructor and Owner of Pilates Fusion Studio/PureFlow Studio, West Akron. Stacey discovered Barre years ago at a fitness conference and loved that a low impact workout could bring such high impact body-changing results. She received her CoreBarre certification in the Summer of 2011. Stacey holds a Bachelors degree in Exercise Physiology from Miami University and a Masters degree in Cardiovascular Physiology from the University of Southern Mississippi, where she was a Graduate Assistant for the University Wellness and Recreation Center.
Stacey has privately owned Pilates Fusion Studio since 2008. Her mission through this studio is to restore a balanced body, invigorate the mind, and uplift the spirit. She is fully certified in the Stott Contemporary Method of Pilates Training. She instructs clients on the V2max Stott Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrel. She also teaches Jumpboard for a safe plyometric workout and group matwork. Stacey is a certified TRX and TRX Cardio Tennis trainer, which involves the TRX Suspended Stability Trainer for core stabilization and full body strength. She is certified on the BOSU Stability Trainer and loves to challenge her clients on the Stability Ball and IndoBoard. Stacey is excited to be a level 5 Antigravity Star instructor and trainer.
Stacey is certified as a SMRT-Core Trainer through Trigger Point Performance Therapy. SMRT-Core is self-myofascial release therapy and core strengthening work combined with the GRID foam roller. She has taught Pilates clients on the foam roller for many years, but this program takes a new spin on foam rolling. This program will help clients to enhance mobility and improve overall biomechanics. It is a great addition to the barre technique.
Stacey has been a Hatha and Viniyoga style yoga instructor since 2003 through Fitness Resource Associates Yoga teacher training. She is also a Baptiste Power Yoga certified instructor with a 200 hour RYT certificate in partnership with the Yoga Alliance.
As an advocate for living a healthy lifestyle, Stacey spends much of her time involved in activities including running, tennis and soccer. She has been in the fitness industry for over 20 years teaching group classes (you name it…step, kickboxing, functional fitness, bootcamp) and privately training clients. She is also excited to be a lululemon-Akron showroom ambassador.
Her mission to her clients is to provide a core workout cultivating strength in body, mind and spirit for life. She tries to enable clients to develop a deeper level of body awareness. “I love what I do and I try to give my clients the results they want to see. However, I am a stickler for accurate posture, and alignment. I like to challenge my clients safely.”
Stacey is a mother of five, four girls and one boy. Greer, Quinnie, Reese, Lola and Roan. She has always been a fan of utilizing one’s own body resistance to build strength. Barre is a great way to do this, it also incorporates mind body, yoga, and Pilates concepts.
She is passionate about living a life that prioritizes happiness, health, fitness and laughter. She is ready to have you tuck, squeeze, stretch and feel the burn!
