Megan grew up dancing; from a vivacious, twirling toddler dancing her first as a tiny bumblebee all the way through college dance team where she assisted in choreographing routines, dance was a major part of her life. While earning her degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutionalized Management at Penn State she fell in love with running, yoga, cycling and kickboxing; she found sweating was the perfect outlet which allowed her to sort through her thoughts, clear her mind and focus on the now. This realization allowed her to make fitness apart of her everyday life as well as awaken her desire to teach.
After graduating from college she moved to Asheville and learned the importance of not only eating healthy and fitness, but also living a healthy lifestyle. While Asheville was an extremely important step in her life, Megan was ready to live the glamorous city life moved to Philadelphia. While working at an eventful fine dining restaurant, studying wine and being the events specialist at The Wine School of Philadelphia she needed her outlet now more than ever which is when she discovered barre class.
She fell in love with the method and felt inspired to teach and motivate others to also be passionate about this form of exercise. So she decided to focus most of her time on earning both her barre and bar certification, for fitness as well as wine; so she packed her bags and moved home. Upon moving home she received her AFAA group exercise certification and found her new barre home at Barre Pose. With help, guidance and love from Stacey she is now pursuing one of her many dreams. She hopes her passion to teach, sweat, and motivate inspires those around her.
