At a very young age Madelyn began to explore the power of movement through the art of dance. She received intense ballet training and completed the testing in order to become Cecchetti certified. Madelyn had the opportunity to spend three summers dancing at the Cecchetti Council of America in Holland, Michigan where she auditioned and was granted a scholarship to attend.
When she entered college, she auditioned and earned herself a spot on the University of Akron’s dance team. She completed her college education at Kent State University. While at Kent, she had the opportunity to be a part of their dance department, where her knowledge and passion for the arts only deepened. During her time in College she ventured into other physical fitness avenues, such as spinning, step aerobics, weight training, barre, yoga and running. She completed her first marathon in 2015.
She graduated college and joined corporate America as a b2b sales rep. The stress from high quota’s and late night networking events didn’t align with her health & wellness values. It was during this time, she realized a lot about herself, and decided to make a change! She is now a part of the lululemon Akron Showroom team, and was accepted into the Kent State University Nursing program. Throughout the trails and tribulations of her life, one thing has stayed constant, and that has been the gift of movement. Her goal is that everyone leaves her class feeling strong, empowered, and that they managed to have a good time in the process!
